For E-Commerce Coordinators ·
What you'll accomplish
You'll set up a repeatable workflow for rewriting your entire product catalog's descriptions and bullet points — 5 products at a time — using ChatGPT. Instead of spending a week rewriting 50 products manually, you'll have a systematic approach that takes a few focused sessions.
What you'll need
What you should see: A spreadsheet with one row per product
What you should see: Your product list sorted from worst- to best-converting, so you prioritize the highest-impact rewrites
You are a copywriter for my e-commerce brand. Here's our voice guide:
- Brand tone: [describe your tone — e.g., practical and honest, adventurous and warm, minimal and premium]
- We never use: [words to avoid — e.g., "amazing", "best ever", "game-changing"]
- Our customers are: [describe your buyer]
- We always mention: [any brand differentiators — e.g., our lifetime warranty, US-based customer service, eco-friendly packaging]
When rewriting descriptions, keep them under 300 words for Shopify and use benefit-first structure for Amazon bullets.
Here are 5 products that need rewrites. For each, write:
1. Amazon: Title (under 200 chars), 5 benefit-first bullet points (under 200 chars each)
2. Shopify: 200-word description in our brand voice
Use the provided keywords naturally. Here are the products:
[paste 5 products with their current descriptions and keywords]
What you should see: A formatted block for each of the 5 products with both Amazon and Shopify versions
Batch rewrite: "Rewrite these [N] products using my brand voice. For each: Amazon listing (title + 5 bullets) and Shopify description. [paste products with keywords]"
Single product refresh: "My current listing for [product] has a 5% conversion rate. Here's the current copy [paste]. Identify the main problem and rewrite the full listing."
Bullet point only: "Rewrite only the Amazon bullet points for these products — keep titles and descriptions the same: [paste current bullets for 10 products]"
